| 1) Only Hui Wa'a Kaukahi or Kaneohe Yacht Club members may compete, and all fishing must be done from a kayak. | |
| 2) Entry fee is $10 per fisherperson, paid in advance, or $15 on Sunday; registration coupon can be mailed or faxed (247-9988), checks and late registration can be dropped off at KYC office (or in fishing fleet display case in KYC lobby) on Sunday morning. | |
| 3) Tournament fishing hours are 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. All kayaks have to leave from KYC and must be back at the finish line (Doug's boat, Margie Ann, anchored off the south side of the Kane'ohe Sandbar) by 2:00 pm for their catch to qualify. Catches will be weighed at that time, and prizes will be awarded thereafter on the forward deck, followed by a party with pupus and a (mostly) BYO bar. | |
| 4) There are no geographical limits to the fishing area, except the Coconut Island Exclusion Area. | |

5) There will be Grand and Second Prizes for: Biggest papio Biggest other fish and a prize for the most unusual fish (?), but there will be no prizes awarded for most number of fish, or for most total weight, so throw the little ones back, okay? All fish must meet State size minimums as set forth by DLNR. |

| 6) Line fishing only. For fish to qualify, fisherman must be in kayak when fish is hooked. |
The purpose of this tournament is to promote the sport of kayak fishing, and to foster good relations between our two Clubs.
Although many KYC members have their own kayaks, should anyone wish to compete who doesn't have one, contact Douglas Peebles of KYC at 247-9966, or Rusty Lillico of HWK at 254-4123
